SEM Haven has created a new position in an effort to keep residents connected with their family members during this time of social distancing. Socialization and engagement with others are vital to the overall well-being of our residents. While we have been keeping residents active with hallway games and one on one visits, they still yearn for engagement with their loved ones. Being able to see and interact with our loved ones is important. Our virtual visit guides are facilitating Face Time, Skype, and Google Duo calls with residents and their families. Seeing our residents connect with their loved ones is heartwarming, not only for the residents and families, but it pulls on the heartstrings of the staff members as well.
